Dollet Escape

Dollet Escape is the first segement of the game, almost comparable to a tutorial.

This category has been created around the 2013 PC version's launch and then popularized because of its accessibility as a fast pace and short run for new runners and races.

Overview

The run is composed of very minimal things to know :

• General movement on the maps to get from the start to the end of Dollet
  • includes minimal step count (not necessary unless you want to compete with the best)
• Navigating through the menus
  • can be learned at your own pace
• Battle mechanics
  • must have, that needs a bit of practice as the run rewards you when the characters are at low HP
• The timer start at the "New game" selection and end when the black screen appears when you leave Dollet by ship

General Route

• Ifrit Cave
  • going through the introduction and fighting your first assignment : IFRIT
  • takes around 15 min
• Getting some power a.k.a battling getting Fish fins
  • the game has an interesting system that lets you transform items into magic and magic means power !
  • going to the beach between the Balamb Garden and Balamb lets you fight Fastitocalon-F which drops Fish fins
  • takes around 5 min
• Going through Dollet
  • 3 major fights to be aware of
    • Anacondaur (the snake)
    • Elvoret (at the top of the radio tower)
    • X-ATM092 (the spider)
      • be sure to know that you only need to fight it once at the start of the descent
  • takes around 25 min
• Total time : less than an hour
