Purpose
This wiki's purpose is to establish a comprehensive and collaborative online resource dedicated to speedrunning in Final Fantasy VIII on its available platforms. Our goal is to curate and present accurate and detailed information about the various aspects of FF8 speedrunning. Editors are encouraged to contribute boldly, ensuring content is presented in a clear and factual manner. The aim is to create a central and valuable resource that serves both seasoned speedrunners and newcomers, promoting an encyclopedic style with a formal tone and steering clear of essay-like, argumentative, promotional, or opinionated writing.
Everyone is encouraged to contribute and make edits, whether you're a beginner, seasoned runner, modder, bodcap, or anything in between.
Getting Started with this Wiki
Like Wikipedia, it is acceptable to use common sense as you go about editing. This wiki not only allows you to create, revise, and edit articles, but it wants you to do so. Perfection is not required. Wikis are always a work in progress. Collaborative editing means that incomplete or poorly written first drafts can evolve over time into excellent articles.
